ryuujou (kancolle)
Kantai Collection's personification of the Japanese light carrier Ryuujou. Character designed by Kuuro Kuro, voiced by Hidaka Rina.

She shares many characteristics with the Hiyou-class such as being a shikigami-using onmyouji, wielding a flight deck scroll and some clothing choices.
She wears a maroon/dark red kariginu-like vest over a white shirt, a black skirt (held with suspenders in her remodeled portrait), a magatama and some sort of necklace. She emits blue flames with text reading "Imperial Edict" which is probably what she uses to control her shikigami. She has brown hair in twintails and she wears a visor cap resembling a ship's bow. Overall, she also looks smaller and younger than all of the other carriers, having a visibly flat chest.
Her second remodel gives her a different shirt collar with three magatama hung under, her skirt gains white stripes along the brim, a golden flight deck scroll, with the necklace attached to the scroll and her blue flames are now golden as well.

Personality
She talks in Kansai-ben; often nicknamed "RJ" and, with her cap, somewhat resembles a McDonald's worker. Near-constant victim of breast envy in fanworks. Ironically, her game introduction line has her being proud of the "distinctive silhouette" and she never shows or speaks of being envious of other girls' bosoms. She also isn't the only flat chested carrier in the game either (Houshou, Zuikaku, Katsuragi, Taihou, and Zuihou).
History
In real life, Ryuujou was designed to exploit a loophole in the original Washington Naval Treaty that excluded carriers from total tonnage if they weighed 8,000 tons or less. To that end, she was given a slim cruiser hull, no armor, and a single hangar. However, the 1930 London Naval Treaty closed the loophole, while IJN planners insisted on doubling her air group so a second hangar was placed atop the original, leaving her as the only ship of her class and suffering from questionable seakeeping and stability. She was rebuilt after sustaining storm damage in 1935.
She was later sunk by bombers from the Saratoga in the battle of the Eastern Solomons in the 24th of August 1942, her survivors being rescued by Amatsukaze and Tokitsukaze. In the context of the game, this gives Ryuujou another reason to scorn Saratoga as she has large breasts. References to her relations with the two aforementioned destroyers tend to be rarer.
