asashio (kancolle)
朝潮 (Morning Tide)
Asashio was the lead ship of the IJN's Asashio-class destroyers. Not to be confused with the second of the Shirakumo-class destroyers.
She was completed in August 1937 and sunk in the Battle of the Bismarck Sea while attempting to rescue survivors from the Muroto-class collier Nojima and her sister ship Arashio.
In Kantai Collection, Asashio is a very dutiful young girl with a long black hair and blue eyes. She wears a short-sleeved white shirt, arm warmers, a skirt with suspenders and black thighhighs. She holds a quad torpedo launcher and a twin-gun turret and carries a randoseru-shaped structure.

Her first seasonal CG is for Halloween 2018 with a Witch Costume consisting of a Witch Hat, a cape secured with a bow with a searchlight on it, a frilly petticoat under her skirt/pinafore, striped thighhighs and pointy shoes appended to her normal costume. She also holds her crow's nest as a magic wand. For her Kai Ni D, instead of the normal added items, she has cat ears and tail added to the costume, white bows added to the sides of her shoes and the handle of her "wand" is chartreuse.
Her voice actress is Wakana Miyagawa.
